The most interesting aspect of the Tarazed – there are two versions, the Tarazed Leather GTX and the straight Tarazed GTX, with a Nubuck/fabric mix – is the sole unit.

Berghaus has worked closely with Vibram to produce a sole that combines the exceptional mechanical grip of its Optistud design with Vibram's expertise in rubber compounds.

Berghaus says the resulting sole unit is capable of coping with pretty much anything from summer and alpine walking through to easier winter stuff.
