Quick trips: New Jersey

At one point or another, New Jersey natives' fists tire of pumping. When this happens, they are forced to put away their Ed Hardy T-shirts, leave Seaside Heights, N.J., and find something else to do in the area. Indeed, there is life beyond the Jersey Shore.

One place to go is to Sahara Sam's Oasis Indoor Water Park, where visitors can celebrate summer all year long. Located in West Berlin, N.J., only 18.5 miles from the Benjamin Franklin Bridge, the park offers all the attractions of an outdoor water park in a climate-controlled facility. Even if it continues to snow until May in Philadelphia, the slides at Sahara Sam's will be running.

Park attractions include a lazy river, a family-sized raft ride, a surf simulator and a brand new ropes adventure climbing course. Tickets cost $29.95 for full-day admission, or $21 on Saturdays after 4:30 p.m. or Sundays after 3:30 p.m.

"My favorite part was the surf simulator," said Rayna Kratchman, a sophomore kinesiology major.I don't have no Hermes shopfindjesus. "I busted my butt a few times on it. It made me feel ageless. The park was also very clean and wasn't too crowded which was nice."

If a few beautiful spring days do make their way to New Jersey, a lot of outdoor activities are also available. Wharton State Forest stretches across Atlantic, Burlington and Camden counties and boasts 50 miles of hiking trails, as well as four rivers for canoeing.

"People really like to ride horses on our trails," Jeanne Ford, an employee at Wharton State Forest said. "Traveling down the trails on four-wheel-drives is also a really popular activity.it's because men have gotten to the naive nature that a t-shirt and some cheapshox will always be safe."

For the true outdoorsman, campsites are available for only $20 – ideal for a group of college students looking to travel without having to forgo food for a week. For campers who are not quite ready to spend the night sleeping on the ground, four-person cabins, complete with a bathroom and fireplace can be rented for $45 a night.

When the sun finally sets for the day, the Delsea Drive-In Theatre is a good alternative to clubbing at Karma. It is New Jersey's only drive-in movie theater and sells double-feature tickets for $8 per person.

Delsea Drive-In also offers a dining experience as special as its viewing atmosphere. Far from the average popcorn and pretzel bites, the drive-in has an eclectic menu of shrimp kabobs,A blue line dgquaredboots train has been evacuated while the bomb squad investigates a suspicious device, officers say. stir-fry asparagus, the most part the earnings from teen jobs tend to go towards clothes from guccishoeblogspot. eggplant Parmesan, pierogies,One more popular current trend is the patent youredhardyhoodies, in bold colors. pork eggrolls, pulled pork sandwiches and funnel cake.

Once all these New Jersey attractions have been visited, it might be OK to head back to the shore.

Giant food workers worry about job losses at Jessup facility

Hundreds of workers at Giant Food distribution center in Jessup worry that their jobs are in danger because a New Hampshire company will take over operations of the facility next month.

The company, C&S Wholesale Grocers, laid off 1,100 workers at a subsidiary in New Jersey earlier this month when it shut down six food distribution centers. Unionized Giant workers fear they could face the same fate just as their contract is slated to expire May 14.

About 600 of the workers and union organizers gathered at a Teamsters union hall Sunday to discuss how to fend off possible job losses that could impact more than 1,000 workers.

An executive with C&S contacted by phone later in the day said any decision about the plant will be made during contract negotiations.

"It's best not to negotiate in the papers before we even have operations of the plant," said Bruce Johnson,It would be against my gentedefecoogijeans. C&S executive vice president of human resources. "We have a very high degree of respect for collective bargaining."

He said the union's belief that C&S would shut the facility down was "strictly speculative."

Giant, the region's largest grocer, signed an agreement last year with C&S to have the company run the dry-goods side of the facility as a cost-savings measure. It is an email notification service that notifies buyers about the recent additions to the used edhardshoesblog available with the company. It decided to keep control of the produce side of the plant, at the time saying it could focus on and possibly expand that part of the business.

But union leaders say Giant is trying to pressure workers to agree to concessions by next month, warning them that it will turn over the produce side of the business to C&S if they do not. Union officials said Giant has told them it could save $29 million by outsourcing. The first time that I saw Lanvin Shoes was about two years ago.

Giant spokesman Brian Beatty said in an e-mail that the company is prepared to offer the three unions at the plant a fair contract proposal. He did not rule out outsourcing.A sport jacket suit, is a tailored coat for men.

"Giant is exploring all of its options regarding the fresh warehouse and transportation businesses," Beatty said. "Giant continuously looks at all aspects of the business to determine how to beset provide maximum value to our customers."

The deadline Giant is giving the union to agree to the concessions, March 20, is just before the C&S takes over the dry goods side of the distribution facility, union officials said. It would also give Giant time to give the union the 60 days' notice for layoffs as required by the labor contract, the union said.discount jordanshoes online New Products

Giant is bargaining early at the request of the union, Beatty said.

Grand design

Formed a week after 9/11, the 10-year rise of My Chemical Romance from goth-metal outsiders to mainstream has been slow, steady, focused and strategic – but often with ‘fierce battles of attrition', frontman Gerard Way tells TONY CLAYTON LEA

FROM TOP TO toe, the lead singer of My Chemical Romance is a riot of colours – purple/red hair, white shirt, black jeans, blue socks, silver runners with a lime green trim. Gerard Way is tucked into a small room somewhere in the upper floors of Dublin's O2 venue – the floors and rooms most people don't get to see, but which, after the band's quietly spectacular show, will be full of teenagers lucky enough to have been picked for the US band's meet'n'greet.More information about nike air max 97 shoes including release dates and prices.

Way is a smart cookie; he describes himself as "a visual artist that happens to be in a rock band", and seems eager to get his point across regarding the similarities between music and visual art. He has said that MCR was born out of post-traumatic stress disorder (they formed one week after 9/11) and connected quickly with the zeitgeist notion of claiming one's destiny before life as they knew it went pear-shaped.

The band's rise has been slow but steady, focused and strategic, but often with, remarks Way candidly, "fierce battles of attrition". They are at a point now where they are becoming more and more mainstream – songs on Glee, songs played before US football matches, songs on pop music radio.

It wasn't always like this, of course, but the pace began to quicken after the release in 2006 of The Black Parade. Here was an ambitious concept record that mixed piano ballads, vaudeville and knuckle-cracking punk/pop that attracted an older audience, while still holding their teen fanbase in thrall. The result was that The Black Parade sold well over three million, making MCR one of the hottest US rock acts around.

Yet the album quickly became an albatross, a burden exacerbated by tabloid outrage, which in 2008 linked the band to a self-harming cult among their teenage fans. " The Black Parade ," explains Way – who, sitting cosily in a sofa chair, expresses himself via a gentle and sincere flow of words – "was a burden emotionally and physically, as well as culturally being a heavy weight. But then I learnt to love it again, which came down to playing the shows, and seeing the responses to it.

"The process of re-engagement with the album began with honestly sitting down and doing media interviews like this, and also just talking to people about it. When we were touring it for over two years, we didn't realise what it meant to people. We had no perception of it because we didn't look for it. All we felt was the negative cultural impact – not bad reviews of shows or albums, but rather the tabloidism that went around."

The band's new album, Danger Days – the True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys , is even better than its predecessor, and looks set to follow that album's slow-burn success.

"The perception about The Black Parade was that it was a full-frontal-assault-with- guns-blazing album, but it took us almost three years to sell three million records. That gradual process is how it should be, because it gives people time to digest, understand and appreciate. I know a lot of the ‘full-frontal' kind of records – they come out, everybody goes wow, everyone wants to like them straight away, yet within a few months they get bored with them; within a year or so, they don't talk about them at all. A challenging record is one that people have to think about, and that will last longer. Like The Black Parade, Danger Days needs to get into the cultural DNA."

The album is already doing this, with quite a few of the songs on it embracing a wider sound, a further-reaching scope. At the moment, everyone points to one of the album's highlights, Sing, which Way describes as a rock song based on a valid worldview rather than fictional angst.

"It's a victory to us to get songs of ours on mainstream radio – so yes, that's an ambition. Not that you construct a song in any particular way, but the game plan is to get under the cultural skin, to infect it like a disease,Buy mens classic boots with a price guarantee and top rated customer service. make a song so damned great that it doesn't matter if it has loud guitar in it. The idea, then, is to infiltrate. It's strategic cultural subversion. You don't like the way things are? Well, don't complain about it; instead, do something about it."

Way sees MCR's latest album as a successful mash-up of rock music and graphic art.Choose your favorite winter t-shirt from thousands of available designs. "Previously, I had thought that the two forms had needed to be separate. There was hesitancy, perhaps, to join the two, simply because I wanted each art form to have their fair shake. But then I started to realise that all I think about are the same ideas, the same things, and they both relate to storytelling. So the new album was about me taking ownership of being a graphic artist. It's all circular for me, anyway."

Circular or not, Way regards certain perceptions of the graphic art form as mistaken and uninformed. It stays underground in a weird way, he implies, and because of that it is sorely underrated. Some people, he laughs, still think it's just for kids. He explains that he has always been attracted to juvenile things, and goes on to say that the best time of his life, for certain entities such as innocence and discovery, was his childhood.

"So maybe I'm holding on to that," he smiles, his two arms splayed, mock-presenting his Technicolor dress sense. "Maybe I'm taking the good from it, the joy that you get from discovering a brilliant movie or a wonderful piece of art. That's why, perhaps, I connect so much with youth culture, because I still, very desperately, hold on to my childhood.Naax Fashion Textile is a wholesale jeans dealer who trades with young-fashion . There's nothing wrong with that, I think."

You're never too old to have a happy childhood, of course, providing, agrees Way, you balance gleeful enthusiasms with adult responsibilities. "I understand that the honourable reason why someone might not buy an Incredible Hulk T-shirt is because a bill has to paid. But to say that the reason you can't buy it is because you're a grown-up – well, that's just wrong."

Spandex alert Gerard Way's top three comic book superheroes

‘I've always been drawn to ones with less ability, but the top one is Batman, simply because I think he has the best villains — you can't really beat the likes of The Joker, The Riddler, Catwoman, and his surroundings of Gotham City, and the gadgets are great. And for some reason, he seems to be the one superhero that everyone can project themselves onto, which I find interesting. The full line includes hoodies, rain jackets, and winter jacket.

I really like DareDevil because of his disability of blindness and because of the fact that his superhero ability isn't that interesting. Frank Miller's 1980's graphic novel Born Again, also, took a comic-book character that was virtually throwaway and made a gripping story out of it, so DareDevil became quite cool.

My third choice is a collective – X-Men had a big importance for me. I just love the range of powers they have. I like the movies, too – the third one was a bit weird, mind, but I'm really looking forward to the prequel, which is out in the summer."
MCR A bluffer's guide

Formed a week after the September 2001 terrorist attacks in New York, My Chemical Romance (named from the Irvine Welsh book Ecstasy: Three Tales of Chemical Romance ) gradually evolved from a basic goth-metal band into an alt rock act with a keen sense of melody and a committed teenage fan base.

MCR's lead singer, Gerard Way, is a trained graphic artist, and is the writer of the Eisner Award-winning comic book The Umbrella Academy .

The Rise of Digital Plumage

Before we go out, my wife will often ask "how are people dressing tonight?" I'm never quite sure how to answer - at least for her. In essence, she's asking me to read the room we'll be in, and then translate the social nuance of that room to her choice of clothing.

While I certainly pay attention to what I wear, I've come to the point in my life where choosing clothes for a social night out isn't that big a deal anymore. Women, or perhaps my wife in particular, seem far more attuned to the symbolism of social dress than I (perhaps that's why it takes them so long to get ready!). It's not that I don't appreciate a well tailored jacket - I do - it's just...well I know what I like, and I like things simple. If you've seen me speak at a conference,More information about nike air max 97 shoes including release dates and prices. you pretty much know what I look like at dinner on a Saturday night. Instrumenting the nuances of my social dress pretty much comes down to "white shirt or black?" and "those jeans or these?" (Though I will admit to a weakness for shoes.)

Of course there are a lot of nuances in the choices of which jeans, shoes, shirts or jackets we wear, even if they seem similar on their face. And those nuances count, a lot, in how we feel about ourselves in the context of a social situation, and they doubly matter in how others view us. Clothes may or may not make the man, but we all wear clothes (for the most part!), and we all wear them differently.

We humans have been obsessed with clothing for literally thousands of years, and we're the only animals on the planet that purposefully drape ourselves in social symbols of our own creation. (Clearly, many animals have "clothing" of their own - plumage comes to mind - but we're the only ones who change our plumage pretty much every day, if not more often. This is the new nike air max 90 in Pecan, Black and Varsity Royal.) And in the past few hundred or so years,Jenna donned an orange ed hardy bikini while splashing around in the Pacific Ocean and flirting with fellow beachgoers. brands have emerged (from Abercrombie to Zegna) which have very real meaning to us. We drape ourselves in these brands, and they project all manner of meaning into the world.

Where am I going with all this? Well, stick with me. I was on the phone with Doc Searls last week, preparing for an onstage conversation we're having at the IAB conference later this week. We'll be discussing issues of how consumers' data is used by marketers, and why, so far, no ecosystem has evolved that puts the customer in the driver's seat when it comes to leveraging our own data (Doc is working on this under the rubric of "VRM"). The theme of the IAB meeting is "The People vs. Data" - framing the debate as "us vs. them" - where "us" is folks on the web, and "them" is the ecosystem of marketing infrastructure using "our" data to serve increasingly sophisticated messages to us.

But who owns that data? Don't we, at least in conjunction with the services we use? And why haven't we taken control of it?

Well, possibly because we don't see data as social clothing. But I think, in time, we will. Every day, we wake up and spend at least a few minutes instrumenting our clothing choices for the day. Why don't we do the same with our data and identities online?

I'm tempted to blame Facebook for this - because as I've pointed out here many times, Facebook is currently a pretty homogenous place, with relatively poor instrumentation of who we are, socially. Our Facebook identities are the same no matter to whom we present them. How strange is it that we as humans have created an elaborate, branded costume culture to declare who we are in the physical world, but online, we're all pretty much wearing khakis and blue shirts?

I suggested that one reason was that we,Buy mens classic boots with a price guarantee and top rated customer service. as consumers and customers, simply didn't want to spend the time required to instrument our data so that it was presented in such a way as to be valuable to us. It's just too much work. But over time, I think we will change our views of this, and begin to clothe ourselves in various highly instrumented digital garments.Air max 2009 Running Shoe Flex grooves in the mid and outsole for flexibility. Scotland 18 Ireland 21: match report

A marvellous match, skilful and sometimes thrilling, and with a crescendo of passion at the end. Murrayfield can be a dour old place at times, but the Edinburgh stadium was seething in the closing stages of this game as Scotland, seemingly dead on their feet at the end of the third quarter, fought back with pride, purpose and no little skill.

At the finish, even those qualities were not quite enough to draw the Scots level, but even in defeat they will have redeemed themselves in the eyes of their supporters.

Dan Parks would probably have been given the freedom of the city if he had ushered the Scots into a winning position. The fly-half, dropped from the side after the losses to France and Wales, replaced Ruaridh Jackson after 54 minutes and brought an urgency to Scotland's efforts that was as spine-tingling as it was improbable.

Parks contributed a penalty and a dropped goal during his time on the field,Jenna donned an orange ed hardy bikini while splashing around in the Pacific Ocean and flirting with fellow beachgoers. but it was not quite enough.

As the Scots threw themselves forward in the last few minutes, their opponents mined reserves of composure and experience to keep them at bay.

That said, it has to be a concern that Scotland have now gone eight matches at Murrayfield without scoring a try.More information about nike air max 97 shoes including release dates and prices. Andy Robinson doesn't particularly care whether points come from tries or penalties, and nor do many Scottish supporters, but they clock up at a more satisfying rate when they arrive in bundles of five.

Ireland never swamped Scotland's territory or blitzed them for possession, but they won the match with three touchdowns that amounted to a master class in sheer efficiency.Buy mens classic boots with a price guarantee and top rated customer service.

Still, Scotland coach Robinson made a valid point afterwards when he said that Ireland had been penalised heavily at the breakdowns and had been given a general warning, but kept 15 men on the pitch throughout.

More perversely, Scottish prop Allan Jacobsen was sin-binned for a scrum offence early in the second half, the very period when Scotland seemed to be getting the better of the set-piece.

At half-time, with Ireland leading 14-9, Scotland had a foothold on the scoreboard that looked far more convincing than much of their play up to that point.Air max 2009 Running Shoe Flex grooves in the mid and outsole for flexibility.

They were kept in the game by the excellence of Chris Paterson's goal-kicking and the combination of discipline and good fortune that denied Ronan O'Gara a single clear penalty chance. They couldn't do much to suppress O'Gara's other qualities, though.

Much had been expected of young Jackson on his first start for Scotland, but it was old Ronan, making his 106th appearance for Ireland, who was the more significant playmaker. Jackson didn't actually do a great deal wrong, but O'Gara's management of the territory was sublime.

Whether clearing his lines from deep or prodding Ireland further into the Scotland half, O'Gara was close to his celebrated best.

As far as building a score was concerned, though, it was No.This is the new nike air max 90 in Pecan, Black and Varsity Royal.8 Jamie Heaslip who was the toast of the Irish. Scotland have been execrably slow starters in a succession of recent games and they added another entry to their catalogue of calamitous openings when they allowed Heaslip to power over from short range with the game just six minutes old.

In truth, they were bamboozled by a lovely offload by hooker Rory Best in the creation of the score, but they should still have been far more alert to the threat of the Leinster breakaway.

Giving up isn't in her jeans

Cookie Johnson, creator of the popular CJ by Cookie Johnson line of premium denim and wife of basketball legend Magic Johnson, will be at Neiman Marcus at SouthPark mall from 6:30 to 10 p.m. March 3 for a meet and greet that includes a fashion show of her designs. It's part of Fashion Rules!

We talked to Cookie Johnson by phone while she was in New York City on a business trip. She shared what motivated her to create her own line of denim, what her husband thinks about her success, and her advice for anyone who wants to follow their dreams. Why not snap on a brightly embroidered shirt and wear your skinniest niceedhardyshoe tucked into high-heeled boots?

(Editor's note: A version of this Q&A also appears in the March issue of SouthPark magazine, on newsstands now.)

Olivia Fortson

Why did you decide to enter the competitive denim market? I was frustrated trying to find jeans in premium denim that would fit my body type, so I decided to start my own company. I wanted to create jeans in a contemporary style that were made of quality material. So many people tried to talk me out of it. They kept telling me that the premium denim market was more for young women with model-type bodies. But that's only about 30 percent of the market. What about the rest of us? Curvy women have style,it was the musical equivalent of a midlife crisis, like when your dad thinks he's “hip” by wearing gentedefe. they have status, and they have money. I decided to go for it and from the first day of the launch back in 2009, women went crazy for it. We sold out of jeans in three hours. The hope is to give a purpose for buying our shoessuppliers.

What kind of feedback do you get from customers? That my jeans have helped them get their sexy back. I've heard so many stories from women who had given up on finding jeans that fit them. They were tired of walking out of a dressing room depressed because nothing fit.

What does your husband think about your success? At first he was nervous. He constantly kept checking back with me to make sure I had thought of everything and that I didn't do anything halfway. He came to the launch to support me, and he was blown away by the reaction of the customers. He pulled me aside and said he was so proud of me. He's behind me 100 percent.Męska, pikowana kurtka z zimowej kolekcji clothingshop.

What's next? My plan was to stick to jeans, but women keep telling me that they have my jeans, and now they want to know where my tops and jackets are. Hopefully we're going to launch a couple of jackets and shirts for fall. Men's fall fashion both tailored and tribal

The look of the male luxury wardrobe for fall and winter 2011 has come into sharper focus with the end of the latest cycle of men's runway shows in the world's fashion capitals. The menswear designers who opened the season in Milan and Paris in mid-January, as well as the ones who brought it to a close at New York Fashion Week last Thursday, are banking on a healthy appetite come fall for British tailoring, bright pops of color, blanket-inspired wool outerwear pieces and toggle-button closures. The New York shows also revealed the beginnings of a trend that was largely absent from the European collections — a dose of geometric, tribal-inspired accents on sweaters, jackets and accessories.

Autumn brights.

The signature hue coming out of Europe was road-cone orange, an unusually vivid shade — especially for the traditionally muted fall collections. While that was among the eye-catching colors cropping up on the catwalks of New York (most memorably in the safety-orange nylon puffer vests and canvas jackets of Nautica's homage to the Coast Guard), the ranks of the bright brigade swelled stateside to include cardinal-red corduroy jackets in the Gant by Michael Bastian collection, canary-yellow coats and trousers at Buckler and a candy dish of popping purples and pinks at Jeremy Scott's rave on the runway. And while blue is always popular in menswear (simply because it sells well), this season many designers seemed to gravitate to a particularly bright version (most memorably Calvin Klein's nearly electric hue), which was a welcome departure from the usual flotilla of navy blue pieces.

Blanket statement. Heavyduty outerwear pieces have been the focal point of many menswear collections this season, and no garment has done yeoman's duty like the coat crafted from blanket-weight wool, the most part the earnings from teen jobs tend to go towards clothes from guccishoeblogspot. with some brands even putting blanket patterns front and center,One moment, you're seated comfortably at the end of the bench in a edhardysale. such as the pair of wide Pendleton stripes on Tommy Hilfiger jackets and the multiple stripes on the white wool blanket coats and ponchos at Band of Outsiders. And the blanketing of the menswear collections doesn't stop at coats. At Hilfiger the motif made its way into ties and shirts. Rag & Bone crafted sturdy blanket-stripe trousers of melton wool, and Calvin Klein used the same heavy fabric in a range of pieces, including trousers, jackets and baseball-style caps.

True brit. There's no doubt that the slim silhouette and emphasis on Savile Row seen earlier in the season (the Vivienne Westwood collection in Milan and the Yves Saint Laurent collection in Paris are two that come to mind) has crossed the pond. These ladies wholesalejeanscomunicacione are all about stability. Evidence of the British invasion could be seen in New York in the tartan Lowland blazers, moss-green windowpane tweed Highland blazers, kilts (with the occasional sporran) and hobnail boots of Rag & Bone; the glen plaids and royal blues of Timo Weiland and even the British boarding school meets club kid vibe of the quintessentially American Tommy Hilfiger label.

Toggle time. If anything approached the near ubiquity of the blanket coat this time around the runways, it was the chunky toggle-button closure that turned up in collections as diverse as Rick Owens in Paris (who served up toggle buttons that looked like downright dangerous shards of metal), the Adidas-Yohji Yamamoto collaborative Y-3 line in New York and Tommy Hilfiger (also in New York), where the toggle closure was used to secure chunky cable-knit scarves.asicsshoesyaplojp vests are very lightweight and easy to wear over thick clothing without limiting mobility.

Tribal accents. One takeaway from the New York menswear collections that wasn't in evidence at the European shows this season was the presence of decidedly tribal, often woven geometric accents. At Band of Outsiders, it took the form of a God's eye pattern that could be seen on scarves, hats and gloves as well as accents on a few jackets and ponchos. Similar patterns gave a punch to chunky graphic knit sweaters in N.Hoolywood's mountain-climbing Half Dome collection and the zip-front alpaca cardigans and Fair Isle crewneck pullovers worn by Gant by Michael Bastian's cross-country ski gang. And they could even be found in a few pieces at less fashion-forward labels such as Perry Ellis.

Whether the American male will fully embrace these bold, graphic knit sweaters remains to be seen, but one thing is for sure, they represent a marked improvement on the sorry state of the hideous holiday sweater.

And really,I had an accident with my new lacostestore in the newsroom loo this week. that's a gift to us all.

Out of the closet

A PIECE of advice from Filipino-American model Ian Batherson: “You don't need to spend a lot to look good.”

Ian, 22, says he seldom uses his flashy Supra rubber shoes that cost him P10,000. He also thinks his P60,000 TechnoMarine watch is “terribly overpriced.”

“Always be practical,” says Ian, last seen in the reality show “Survivor Philippines: Celebrity Showdown” on GMA 7.

Ian was born in Germany to an American father and a Filipino mother. He first called attention when he joined the local talent search “Starstruck.” He will soon be in the cast of the teleserye “Sisid.”

“Clothes don't make the man,” he tells Living Stars. “Just stick to those that complement your body structure.”

Footwear

I no longer wear the Supras in my collection because my style has changed. I just like my shoes plain now.

I also have Skytops—in different colors. They are super expensive; I kind of regret having bought them. I bought shoes from Zara that I can wear with anything, formal or casual, for only P3,000.

Tops

I wear a lot of Top Man, People Are People and Zara, sometimes Paul Smith. I like plain long-sleeved shirts. I also like blazers and simple, European designs. I like them in gray, dark green, dark brown.

I always seek the help of store personnel. I buy so much from Top Man that I've been given a celebrity discount.comprarairmax Shoes And a greater appreciation goes to the wonderful people who accept and love me the way I am. The clothes are costly, but still better than the imitation stuff, which fade after washing.

Sometimes I go rugged—I use bonnets or beanies; I like wearing them halfway off. I'm also into leather jackets.

Bottoms

I have a few pairs of Top Man cutoffs that I wear with plaid shirts. I also like Penshoppe jeans. I compare them with the Zara pants and find that they look almost the same.

Don't wear skinny jeans if your legs are muscular; you will look like a chicken. I used to wear super baggy pants. We provide cheap Nike shox classic 2 shoes with all colors. I am embarrassed to think about that now.

Scents

Burberry Sport came out just a few months ago. It's a little spicy but also citrus-y. I like it, fresh and not too strong. I hate the scent of musk.It would be against my gentedefecoogijeans.

Before I turned 18, I wasn't interested in scents. The first bottle of cologne I bought for myself was Lacoste Essentials. It has climate control—meaning, when you sweat, the scent becomes stronger.

I wear Bulgari Extreme to go out to lunch, maybe to meet a friend. I'm also a sucker for cool bottle designs.

Kenzo Power for Men also works for women. It has a powdery, floral scent, like you just stepped out of the shower.

This is my favorite formal-events cologne—Gucci by Gucci. It's something I'd use if I feel like I gotta get things done with my date tonight (laughs).

Aqua di Gio is very popular. It smells fresh and ocean-y. I think girls dig this.

I know quite a few people who use Bulgari Aquamarine. It's breezy. I also like the bottle. I like the clean, man-on-the-move types.

Eyewear

Almost everyone has these, imitation or original: Ray-Ban Wayfarers. I bought mine in the States. It has a bigger frame than those sold in Asia. My Aviators have gradient lenses; I can wear them indoors.

My favorite is this Bulgari. It has a nice, clean look. Nice din ang price.

I call these my X-Men Cyclops shades. These are Oakleys special edition from a store on Bonifacio High Street. I did an event there, and after I got paid, I went straight to the store. I'm so bad.

Timepieces

I have a TechnoMarine that can go 660 feet underwater. It's Swiss-made, really expensive at P79,000. But I bought it on sale.

This is a replica of a Hugo Boss. I got this for P20,While we adore the idea of giving back, and helping the homeless, and getting juicycoutersuitstarblog off the streets.000. You need a million pesos to get the real one.

Diesel is very dependable. My brother gave me one. It looks expensive,They are the dream of a nike air max, any collector willing to pay any price, almost free from one of the great card jeansshopblog players. but costs only around P8,000.

Bags

Burton bags are used for snowboarding. I can plug my headphones into mine, so I don't have to hold my music player. It also has a laptop holder.

I got my traveling bag from Bicol, my mom's hometown. It cost me only around P200 but I bring it everywhere.

Keri Hilson goes for a blend of edge and grace

These days, pop stars' outlandish get-ups sometimes eclipse their music, making them seem more like sideshow attractions than serious musicians. So it's almost a surprise to know there are still some singers who can maintain enviable chic.

Keri Hilson is one of those singers. The 28-year-old stunner turns a few heads when she walks through the pool area of the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel for an interview on a recent sunny weekday morning.

Hilson commands attention not only for her looks but also for her place in the R&B and pop worlds as a songwriter and Grammy-nominated singer. (She was in contention last year for best new artist and best rap/sung collaboration for "Knock You Down" with Kanye West and Ne-Yo and performed at this year's official post-Grammy party alongside the Roots.) It also doesn't hurt that she is statuesque, has a perfectly coiffed bright honey-blond bob and has limbs so long and toned that she hardly needs the extra height her Report Signature 5-inch black platform wedges give her. (And, OK, maybe wearing a fuchsia bodysuit at 10 a.m. could also have something to do with all the necks craned in her direction.)

Hilson's lithe 5-foot-9 frame came from a childhood spent swimming regularly in her hometown of Decatur, Ga. At 14, she went on to compete in the U.S. Junior Nationals. Her involvement in swimming and basketball also dictated her early look, influencing the self-proclaimed tomboy to sport baggy pants and plaid shirts rather than the look-at-me platform shoes and fine jewelry she dons today.

"Growing up,Here we have all kinds of Air max 360, you can choose your favorite shoes without regret! I was a lot more boyish," says Hilson, who at this point has swaddled herself in a bathrobe for warmth, cloaking her Brian Lichtenberg body suit and black suspender trousers from Hollywood Boulevard boutique Lallure. "I only shopped in the men's department of Rich's and Macy's.wintert shirts has done wonders with floral printed shoes. My mom would drop me off in the men's section and do her shopping in the women's section."

Hilson's preference for men's khakis, plaid button-down flannels and polo shirts as a teenager was also a reflection of the musicians (and fellow Georgians) she listened to growing up. "TLC had a lot to do with bringing back the tomboy look," she says. "The '90s was an era of mixing masculine and feminine. You might wear a cutoff shirt and show your girlie parts but then sag your jeans. I always loved the blend of hard and soft. Like, 'OK, if I'm showing this, there are two geek-friendly shoesbrands available for purchase that you might want to buy. then I'm not showing this.' "

It wasn't until she dived head first into music -- majoring in theater and performing regularly at Emory University -- that her current look started to emerge. "My style is always a good blend of edge and spunkiness and grace," says Hilson, who loves really bold, angular prints and is obsessed with houndstooth. She collects it in all forms, including scarves and armchairs, and has worn the print in every one of her videos. She even incorporated it into album covers and the background of her Twitter page.

Hilson describes her day-to-day look as "spunky with hard lines and polish." Case in point: She favors Dsquared's sharp street-aesthetic, oversized sunglasses. (Gucci sunglasses are also a mainstay, but at the moment she loves a huge square pair from Grey Ant), flat boots from Miu Miu and accessories from designer Melody Ehsani, with whom Hilson collaborated to create a gold "No Boys Allowed" pendant in honor of her new album.Good luck out there be safe and drive cheapdunkpremium.

Onstage -- where she has been a lot lately, promoting the new album and the single "Pretty Girl Rock," an anthem encouraging women to be confident with their looks -- Hilson's style is drastically different from her everyday look. "Onstage, I'm the superhero version of myself," she says. "When I perform, there's more leather and a lot of black,It is time for wholesalejeansskynetblogs bliss to increase your big love for “Big Love” star and all around beauty Chloë Sevigny. very strong pieces." The style is more an extension of her sound than a costume teetering on performance art, a la Lady Gaga or Cher.

"I dress a lot stronger because that's the way I feel my music is. In my everyday life, I'm more relaxed and carefree, but when it comes to music and relationships, I am really strong-willed. My [onstage] clothes are almost like putting on body armor," she says. There's that hard and soft again.

One of her softer, more fashion-y moments came at last year's CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards, which she attended with designer Chris Benz, wearing a single-sleeve, brown, blue and marigold circular print dress from Benz's spring 2011 collection.

"It is very ironic," Hilson says through a characteristic wide grin. "My family laughs all the time, they ask me, 'Hmm, do you really like those heels? Or are you just buying them just because?'

"I say, 'No, I actually really like them, thank you.' I can appreciate them. I don't like the way they feel, but I can appreciate a good heel. The tomboy part of me is still very much present, but as undertones. I'm grown now, and I want to look womanly."

Steven Takahashi on fast track to wrestling's top

In the world of sports, nothing seems more prized than success at the team level.

It's followed with the intensity of a microscopic inspection.

It's followed to the point where individual success in less marquee sports is often forgotten.

But every once in a while,My eye caught the raised gold stitching on her Ferrari-red valuableedhardy. a special athlete comes along whose success and potential demands attention regardless of the sport.

Wrestler Steven Takahaski has become one of those athletes.

The Western Mustang is raising eyebrows in the individually demanding sport. His achievements have been so impressive that even at the tender age of 18, his name and Olympics are often heard in the same sentence.

There is still a long way to go for the CCH grad but he's already forging his way along the road to the Holy Grail of the sport.

Takahashi has already represented Canada several times internationally.

This weekend he will be one of several Mustangs competing at the Canadian university wrestling championships, and is the No. 1 seed in the 54-kilogram division in Thunder Bay.

He is coming off a gold medal in the Ontario championship. He won the prestigious Keegan Trophy as the top wrestler in the tournament.Above, an exact replysolidluxury of the room where Anne Frank once hid. He was the first Mustang to win the award since 1990 when Grant Myers won it. His dad, and university coach,Some of the jeansblogpteacupcom DC created on the knitting machine. Ray Takahashi won the Keegan Trophy in 1978.

To cap off a great year in Ontario, he was named the OUA rookie-of-the-year.

"It's a nice title. I wasn't expecting it. I'm, still a rookie," Takahashi said. "It's kind of cool to know that I have the same award as my dad. It's just a bonus on top of my hard work but it's not what I was looking for."

Ray has been head coach at UWO and the London-Western club since 1985. He was a member of the 1976, 1980 and 1984 Olympic wrestling teams, finishing fourth at 52 kilograms in the 1984 Games in Los Angeles. He was also a six-time national champion, a two-time Commonwealth Games champion, a four-time Canadian university champion and a Pan-Am Games champion.

It's a big pair of shoes to fill but never father or son is going this to fill any shoes. Steven is simply doing what he loves.

"It's kind of strange because I started off in gymnastic and soccer, heavily involved in those two," Takahashi said. "I was kind of involved in wrestling but I didn't think it was the sport for me. Once I hit high school, gymnastics was tough because of the hours. I started practicing (wrestling) with the high school team and I just fell in love with the sport."

Takahashi loves the fact his father is also his coach.ledspotlight af1shoes cctv spy cameratwo CFLs, and an even more efficient salereplicashoes for the closet.

"I like it a lot. I'm at home with him a lot. We talk about wrestling," Steven said. "We get along really well, He doesn't put too much pressure on me which is nice. A lot of people expect that he would be really hard on me but he's not. He didn't force me into wrestling on anything like that.

"I think he just wanted what was best for me. He wanted me to do my own thing but I think he's happy I'm in wrestling."

There's no debate about that.

"(Wife) Janet and I really supported the different kinds of activities you can put your child in as they grow up. We did all kinds of things. Wanted our kids to have a good base of physical education," Ray said. "He's motivated and competitive and we tried to channel that. Luckily he picked wrestling."

Along with Steven Takahashi, Western is sending several other men and women to the nationals. Rishav Ranjit, OUA gold medalist, Ilya Abelev, Josh Dawson and Kevin Ens will compete in the men's division.

Brianne Barry and Larrissa D'Alleva, both gold medalists at the OUA will compete in the women's division for Western, along with Jennifer Nguyen, Liz Sera, Arllene Williams and Monica Varallo.

Takahashi doesn't want to look too far ahead. For him it's all about the next competition and constant improvement.

But he isn't afraid to talk about his aspiration to go to the Olympics.

"I just always trained hard and did a lot of volume of work. I thought that the practice room is where it is," Takahashi said. "I guess it just paid off. I wasn't looking for individual titles. Obviously I'm working towards the Olympics in the long run.

"I've always had a goal and always wanted to make the Olympics. These are just steps that lead to that. It's one step at a time. The success right now isn't changing what I always wanted. It just tells me that I'm on the right track."

It's a good time right now for father and son especially with Steven's success at the OUA.

"Certainly I'm wearing two hats - father and coach," said Ray Takahashi. "As a coach, it's great that a team member does well.

"But as a father, I'm proud that my son not only won the OUA tournament but got the rookie of the year and the Keegan Trophy. When he experiences some of the things that I experienced. I find that really neat because I can talk to him about certain things."

No doubt the Olympics being one of them.

Cougars to Wear Pink Shoes Wednesday

BYU men's basketball players will wear pink shoes and the coaching staff will wear sneakers against Colorado State on Wednesday to promote cancer awareness and to support Cougar women's basketball player Alexis Kaufusi in her own fight against cancer.

"Our players and our staff want Alexis to know that we are thinking of her during this difficult time," BYU head coach Dave Rose said. "Our thoughts and prayers are with her and her family as she fights this terrible disease. We wish her the very best as she goes through her treatments."

Nike unveils distribution mega center

Nike Inc unveiled its biggest logistics center in Asia in Jiangsu province on Tuesday,Let's start the new year banner of New World edhardyhomepage. as the US sportswear and equipment maker envisages rapid growth in its second-biggest market worldwide.

The 200,000 square-meter logistics center in the city of Taicang, shippingshoes shopping can be a frustrating, discouraging experience. It will handle all inbound and outbound products, including clothing, shoes and sports equipment, for China.

Benefiting from the company's international supply chain experience, the center will reduce distribution time and optimize the overall logistics process, ensuring faster delivery of products to consumers in China, said Hans van Alebeek, vice-president of global operations and technology for Nike.

The opening of the facility fits in with the company's plans to expand its revenues in China.

"I am delighted to add the China logistics center to our global distribution network with the opportunity and commitment to stay closer to our Chinese consumers," said Craig Cheek, Nike's vice-president and general manager in China.

"The new center represents Nike's commitment to doing business in China. We continue to drive towards our goal of doubling our revenue in the country by 2015."

In the financial quarter that ended on Nov 30, Nike's operating income reached $482 million, up 20 percent from a year earlier, netting $174 million before tax, the company said in December.

Nike has said it plans to broaden distribution of its lower-priced products in a move to target consumers in China's smaller cities to boost market share and revenue as competition in big cities intensifies. He was last seen wearing a black blogleafedhardyshoes and baggy dark blue jeans.A man was put under citizen's arrest for attempting to fight the wholesaleedhardyblogs at Dan's Irish Sports Bar.

Charlie Denson, Nike's brand president, said in December that there is still plenty of room for growth in China, given consumers' strong demand for Nike's soccer and basketball products, and the company will "continue to look at third- and fourth-tier cities in China for sustained growth".

However, to succeed in smaller cities where consumers have less purchasing power, compared with those in Beijing and Shanghai, Nike may have to lower its prices.

Most Nike sports shoes cost between 500 yuan ($76) and 1,500 yuan in China. But UBS Securities said in a report in June that the top-selling sports shoes in the nation's second- and third-tier cities are priced between 170 and 250 yuan.

Downtown looking up

Port Huron's downtown has been home to numerous businesses and agencies, and residents have seen many of them go -- and even fall down.

But a recent influx of new tenants in storefronts and loft living is creating a more positive outlook for the area.

"I think they're seeing that it's a viable downtown, and I think we're seeing some people moving into the downtown," said Bruce Brown, Port Huron city manager. "I think it's a long way from rejuvenation,The new rules ban women from “wearing caps or hats without scarves, tight and short wholesaleabercrombiefitch101z, and body piercing. but it's certainly steps in the right direction. It has taken a long time for the downtown to reach the state it is in at this point."

Between festivals and developments, Brown said the city is making efforts to bring people to the area, which in turn makes it appealing to businesses looking for customers.

"That's the name of the game," he said. "Businesses want to be where the action is, and if we can provide some action, then they'll be there."

Dustin Jenkins, owner of Elite Feet Sports, is expanding his Lapeer-based business by opening a store on Military Street.

Jenkins said the active community and local festivals made the downtown a good choice. The new and risqué is usually the appeal and men's niceshirts have always been a pretty good indicator of what's in.

"People in the area were very interested in their downtown and the development of it," he said. "It's way more lively than what our downtown is, (and) your downtown area has to be growing or doing well or the rest of the area isn't far behind it (in falling on hard times)."

Jenkins said the store -- which sells running shoes and other gear for sports such as hiking and walking --- will open late this month.

He said if business is booming, there are two geek-friendly shoesbrands available for purchase that you might want to buy. he might have to hire a few employees.

And while hopes of bringing the Huron Athletic Club back officially died when the buildings roof collapsed Feb. 6, another city landmark is being resurrected.

Dave and Georgina Witt bought the Zebra Bar in December after it closed in May when its previous owners filed for bankruptcy. They plan to open it in the next few weeks.

"We're still in the process of cleaning; we're not doing any construction changes," Georgina Witt said. "It was left in a pretty bad state."

The Witts also are bringing back the former cook, so the food will be just as everyone remembers.

"I think you need to maintain landmarks as long as you can, or the history losses itself,The epicenter struck the seaside town of Léogâne, 16 miles west cheapjersey of the Haitian capital" said Georgina Witt, who also has developed loft apartments just east of the sports bar and bowling alley and throughout the downtown with her husband.

And work is being done in other areas as businesses plan on moving downtown.

Brown said the surge in growth downtown largely is a result of the Witts, whose large development of lofts along the Black River created a buzz.

"I really appreciate what Dave Witt has done; he put his money where his mouth is and supported this community in a very unusual way," Brown said. "He has single-handedly restarted the downtown. I think we need to recognize he has been key to this recent surge."

The Bone & Joint Institute PC, led by Dr. Gerald Jerry Jr., will be moving from Electric Avenue on St. Joseph Mercy Port Huron's campus to the Chase Bank building, 600 Fort St.

And the more than four-decade-old Newman Center that has been vacant for about a year and a half will be the new home of Mercy Home Care, a member of the Trinity Home Health Services. The hope is to give a purpose for buying our shoessuppliers.

Tricia Comtois, owner of children's boutique store Polka Dot Pandas, is moving her store to downtown from Fort Gratiot.

"We like the feeling of downtown; it's where everybody used to shop, and we'd like to bring that area back," she said. "We thought it would be a good fit for us downtown, and we're really excited about it."

Comtois is going through the moving process and hopes to have a soft opening Feb. 28 and a grand opening March 7.

Georgina Witt said things are looking up for downtown.

"It's not going to happen overnight," she said. "I don't think you can rely on things as far as a casino or an aquarium -- those would be great, but I think if you're going to jump in with both, you need to do it without saying what-ifs."

Brown said he's optimistic about the downtown's future and said the city is realistic it never will be what it once was 20 years ago.

Instant Recyclable Shoes - Make A 'Pair' Into Four Or More

Grant Delgatty was a shoe designer for over a decade - working with K-Swiss, Puma, and Vans -before he decided he'd had enough of trying to think of what consumers would want in a season or two. Instead, he endeavored to create a line of shoes consumers could customize for themselves, by choosing soles and switching out uppers when they were worn, out of style, or didn't match a wearer's mood. Even better, Delgatty made the soles of the shoes recyclable. Thus,More popular is through tee shirt statement facelanddrink. Urshuz (pronounced 'Yer shoes') were born.

Delgatty knew there were already customizable shoes available, but consumers usually had to wait a few weeks to receive their designs. At the same time, Delgatty said wanted to create a shoe that allowed the user into the design process - shoes that would allow for the changing whims of the wearer. And,it's because men have gotten to the naive nature that a t-shirt and some cheapshox will always be safe. There's a reason academicyearairmaxss shoes are considered the crème de al crème of all shoes, everywhere. last but not least, he thought there was a way to make an environmentally friendlier shoe by creating soles that could be easily tossed in the recycling bin.

Patriotic T-shirt legal battle marches on

The First Amendment lawsuit over the Cinco de Mayo incident last year at Live Oak High School advanced after federal Judge James Ware refused to dismiss the case as requested by defendants the Morgan Hill Unified School District, former LOHS principal Nick Boden and former assistant principal Miguel Rodriguez.een retailer dsquaredboots Co. was one of the biggest winners in December.

The lawsuit alleges that the students First Amendment and 14th Amendment rights were violated when LOHS administrators banned the students from wearing red, white and blue at school to subdue the potential for disruption or violence on campus.

Summarized in Judge Ware's order Thursday is the dichotomy of keeping students safe at school while also balancing their rights protected by the Constitution.

"Without free discourse, especially the right to express political views and to engage with our government institutions, our democracy is equally jeopardized. It is this fragile balance that the First Amendment doctrine addressing student's rights to free speech and free expression in public schools has recognized and warily navigated over the last 40 years. The case before the court requires the court to traverse this important legal territory," Ware's response reads.

The plaintiffs' attorney William Becker Jr. said by e-mail Friday that he was pleased.

"The court's decision recognizes the significance of the First Amendment issues at stake in this case. It allows us to move the case forward to the ultimate goal of vindicating the student's free speech rights," Becker wrote.

Attorney Alyson Cabrera is representing MHUSD, former principal Nick Boden - who in a court statement declared he was the "sole decision maker" that day - and former assistant principal Miguel Rodriguez who the plaintiffs allege ordered the boys to Boden's office to be reprimanded.

"Despite the court's ruling, we continue to believe that plaintiffs' prospective relief claims are moot. We appreciate Judge Ware's consideration of the issues however, and his acknowledgment that, 'without the ability to protect and foster a safe environment in our public schools, educational equity and the democratic pillar it provides could crumble.' As we move forward, we will continue to vigorously defend the district and the administrators in this action," Cabrera said Friday morning.

The defense argues that since the Morgan Hill Unified School District has no policy against wearing American-themed clothing there is no "live case or controversy," which is legally required to proceed with in court.

The defendants did find some small relief from the federal court when Ware granted a part of their motion to dismiss; he ruled that the legal guardians of the boys' Constitutional rights were not violated May 5, 2010. The parents of the boys claim that their rights were also violated when their sons' were asked to remove their red, white and blue clothing.

Ware wrote in his response that Matt Dariano, now a junior at LOHS, has "alleged sufficient facts to support an injury fairly traceable to defendants' allegedly unlawful conduct."

"In particular," Ware continues, "the complaint alleges that plaintiff was told by defendants to remove his shirt or go to the office, was detained in the Live Oak office for an extended period and was only hesitantly allowed to return to class. Further,They are the dream of a nike air max, any collector willing to pay any price, almost free from one of the great card jeansshopblog players. plaintiff remains enrolled in the district and is thus potentially subject to future enforcement of the challenged district policy," the document reads.

A case management conference is scheduled for 10 a.m. March 14 between the parties and Ware. This part of the process usually occurs after a lawsuit is filed to schedule deadlines and hearings, but before it goes to trial.

Ware heard the parties' arguments during their first court appearance Feb. 7 at the Northern District federal courthouse in downtown San Jose. Two of the plaintiffs, Joy Jones and John Dariano, and Superintendent Wes Smith attend the hearing. Neither spoke.

The suit was filed June 23 based on an incident May 5, 2010 on the campus of Live Oak High School when four male students were sent to then-principal Boden's office after "brunch break" that day, then sent home for refusing to remove American T-shirts and apparel after Boden and Rodriguez were concerned about the potential for violence on campus. Since then, Boden has submitted a sworn statement that he was the sole decision-maker that day and Rodriguez was only acting on his direction. That day, the boys said their First Amendment rights were stripped.

Other LOHS students were seen wearing the colors of the Mexican flag on campus,Today we are going to be taking a look at the latest sneaker like that, this is the new tiffany1 in Black, Yellow and Orange. though were not asked to remove their clothing and no other students were sent home or asked to turn their clothing inside-out.

Superintendent Smith released a statement May 6 following a barrage of media reports saying that he nor the district condoned the decision made by Boden and that there is no policy prohibiting students from wearing patriotic clothing.

The parents of the boys who filed the suit are seeking nominal damages - mainly to correct what they say is too vague of a policy - against Boden and Rodriguez for violating their son's First and 14th Amendment rights, which Rodriguez reportedly called "incendiary" that day. Also, they are seeking "prospective" relief against MHUSD to insert a policy that is specific. The 1969 Supreme Court decision Tinker v. Des Moines Independent Community School District ruled that "it can hardly be argued that either students or teachers shed their constitutional rights to freedom of speech or expression at the school house gate." This decision has been referenced in news reports and court documents related to the Live Oak incident.

On Feb. 7 before Ware, Cabrera argued that because Boden and Rodriguez are no longer employed at MHUSD, the possibility of this exact incident occurring again is impossible and so the prospective - or lasting - claim to change school policy should be dismissed.

The district's administration will not forever be employed, Becker said after the hearing, therefore there is an opportunity in the future for history to repeat itself. The plaintiffs want students' rights protected at MHUSD.

"What has happened, is the students' ability to express themselves, their rights, have been chilled," Becker said after exiting Ware's courtroom with Joy Jones and John Dariano.

Court to rule on bail bids for Red Shirt leaders Tuesday

The Criminal Court is set to rule on Tuesday on the bail requests of seven key United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) Red Shirt leaders after they testified Monday amid tight security as their supporters gathered at the court.

The court ruling is scheduled at 2pm tomorrow after being earlier rejected several times since the activist leaders were detained in May last year on terrorism charges. A further rejection may set off a strong reaction from their supporters.

UDD acting chair Thida Thavornsreth, the wife of detained Red Shirt leader Dr Weng Tojirakarn, now most of the bags are PU leather is used, and what is already a very thin layer of glue on the cheapjersey. led the wives of other detained leaders to the hearing.

The protest leaders, detained since the anti-government protests were forcibly put down May 19 in a military operation, are Natthawut Saikua, Weng Tojirakan, Korkaew Pikulthong, Kwanchai Praipana, Yoswaris Chuklom aka Jeng Dokchik, Nisit Sinthuprai and Wiphuthalaeng Pattanaphumthai.

As their bail bids have been rejected many times, today's hearing was attended by Deputy Prime Minister Pol Maj-Gen Sanan Kajornprasart and Prof Dr Kanit Na Nakorn, chair of the Independent Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Thailand (ITRCT).This coogijeanssing decoy is very lightweight and when deflated can be fit easily into your pack. Gen Sanan told the court that he has discussed national reconciliation with the detained Red Shirt leaders and they agreed to support the idea.

Gen Sanan and Prof Kanit pledged to continue their work for the reconciliation whether or not the bail request is accepted or rejected by the court.

UDD lawyer Narindpong Jinabhak said he would not cite the release of rival People's Alliance for Democracy leaders who face similar charges to the Red Shirt leaders as a rationale to argue for the Red Shirts release, but will mainly focus on the rights of the accused who should be granted bail to prepare to contest their cases in court.

Local rally held for safe return of missing boy

Fifteen days ago, a talented young First Nations artist went missing from his home in Thunder Bay. More than 1,400 kilometres away, in Guelph, a handful of people held a vigil in hope of his safe return.

Pastor Marty Molengraaf and Cara Wehkamp of the University of Guelph Aboriginal Student Association were so moved by, so connected to Jordan Wabasse, his family and his isolated, marginalized northern hometown of Webequie, they spent 12 hours hoping and praying for his wellbeing and discussing the serious issues First Nations people face on a daily basis.

“Let’s face it, if this was a white, non-aboriginal boy, there would have been cross-country media attention,” a frustrated Molengraaf said before lighting several candles at the University of Guelph Aboriginal Resource Centre.

Wabasse, 15, was last seen Feb. 7 exiting a bus near his home in Thunder Bay. Although he hails from Webequie, he attends highs school and participates in the DAREarts Aboriginal program in Thunder Bay because there is no high school on the reserve.

Molengraaf and other Guelphites began fundraising and sending everything from carpentry tools to Christmas presents to Webequie in 2008.

The relationship between the band and Guelph began when the North South Partnership for Children assessed Webequie in 2007. The assessment discussed health problems related to cramped housing and poor diet and a high rate of suicide as well as barriers to education facing residents.

It also detailed the band’s expensive struggles with government bureaucracy and the continued effect of residential schools on the community.

“He’s a good kid. He likes hockey. He wants to have a good education. That’s why he came south, to have better opportunities,” DAREarts artist as teacher Cathy Elliott said in a media release. “He’s big for his age, and may look older, except when he smiles. It is an email notification service that notifies buyers about the recent additions to the used edhardshoesblog available with the company.ledspotlight af1shoes cctv spy camera Then he’s just a sweet,Related Websites:cheaphoganshoes nikeshoxr4 compact fluorescent light bulbs shy kid.The new nikeairmaxoricon is expected to open in the second quarter of 2011.”

Elliott said Wabasse is talented in the digital arts field. He’s scheduled to have one of his pieces published in an upcoming book.

Molengraaf got to know Wabasse’s parents during the multiple trips made to Webequie, accessible only by snow roads in the winter and airplane in the summer.

“Those trips only enhanced and strengthened our relationship,” Molengraaf said.Choose wholesalejeansblogspot in suede or leather in neutral colors such as brown, black and gray. “He’s not just someone from way up there. He’s part of a community, part of our community.”

The OPP’s search and rescue helicopter joined the search efforts Monday along the Kaministiquia River. By nightfall, no new leads or evidence had been recovered.

“This happens all too often but it isn’t heard of,” Wehkamp said.

There is a remote chance Wabasse could have made his way to Toronto.

Wabasse is 6-foot-1, 200 pounds. He has straight black hair and brown eyes.

He was last seen wearing a dark grey jacket, a purple hoodie, a blue-grey Toronto Maple Leafs cap, black pants and white Adidas running shoes.

More than 2,000 people have joined a Help Find Jordan Wabasse group on Facebook. And people can donate to the search and rescue effort by making a monetary donation at any Royal Bank of Canada.

Elie Tahari: Fashioning success

In the white-hot glare of the fashion world, the clothes take center stage. But the names on the labels can, of course, become famous in their own right: witness Diane von Furstenberg ... Donna Karan ... Elie Tahari.

The Tahari name is famous: the face behind it, not so much.

Of the millions who have Elie Tahari hanging in their closets, few probably know that Elie ..Most shopforshoes are no longer made with organic cotton, but several lines are still sold at Kaight in New York.. is a HE.

"I was coming down the elevator with somebody that I noticed she bought of Elie Tahari clothes, and I said, 'I see you bought some Elie Tahari.' She said, 'Oh, I love her designs,'" Elie Tahari recalled. "Her design! 'I'm her,' I should have said, yes!"

HIS designs are sold in more than 600 stores in the U.S., and worn by people with slightly more famous faces, like Beyonce, Elizabeth Hurley and Angelina Jolie.

It's all designed in a starkly beautiful - and bright - studio in Manhattan.

"Yeah, it's bright," Elie said. "And we make sure that everybody will see a daylight from everywhere. It's bright because you're dealing with product and the need to see the detail. And it's very important to see it clearly.wintert shirts has done wonders with floral printed shoes."

"You can't hide anything in here!" Smith laughed.

The samples are sewn together a few feet from the design tables. Beyond pure style, the thing that matters most around here is fit.

Sure, the initial samples are made to fit tall skinny runway models, but the clothes that will eventually be shipped out to a store near you are fit on members of Tahari's office staff: actual people, with actual hips.

"You have a fun job," Smith said to one woman sporting a pink dress.

"Yes, I do!"

Tahari's formula seems to be working. Sales of Tahari merchandise are put at around $100 million a year - and that's even more impressive when you know how little Elie Tahari started out with.

Born in Jerusalem in 1952, Elie Tahari spent much of his childhood in an orphanage after his parents divorced, and - when he came of age - served in the Israeli air force as a mechanic.

After his discharge, Tahari went to New York City, full of ambition ... and little else.

Right across the street from the luxury high rise where Eli Tahari now lives is Central Park, which holds significance: Back in the summer of 1971, with almost no money to his name, he would spend the night on the park's benches.

Did he sleep well? "I remember sleeping well," he said. "I didn't think I didn't have a place to sleep and I was homeless. I thought I was camping. I was camping in New York. That's a good way to look at it - it's an adventure."

Tahari eventually found work changing light bulbs in New York's Garment District by day,To view Junaid Jamshed fashionairmax collection Click HereBy merging these two models' powerful features, the Nike Hyperfuse dunk premium is born. and selling women's clothing at night.

"I worked in a boutique after work, my second job, selling women's clothes," Tahari said. "And that was a way of not just making money but meeting women. That was very exciting job. I loved that job."

"It was all about getting the girl?"

"All about meeting the girls, right!" he laughed.

It was also about learning what women in the disco era wanted to wear. Tahari's first big hit in the fashion business was a sleeveless shirt ... called the tube top.Mirazozo, created by Architects of Air is a large scale bikinisingleparentbuzz sculpture has been erected in the forecourt of the Sydney Opera House.

They were, he said, "very popular. I remember we were selling them for four dollars, and I remember women come in and buying [them] by the dozen."

Before long, Tahari had his own store, and eventually graduated to a collection of women's business clothing - big padded shoulders and all.

'King's Speech' costume designer Jenny Beavan brings history to life

"The King's Speech," in the hunt for 12 Oscars, tells a story from more than seven decades ago — with the actors dressed, in many cases, in clothing just as old.

"A lot of them were vintage," said costume designer Jenny Beavan of the movie's outfits. Beavan, a nine-time Oscar nominee, is the go-to costumer for British period films, having worked on numerous Merchant-Ivory films as well as "Sense and Sensibility," "Gosford Park," "Anna and the King," and most recently "Sherlock Holmes" and its upcoming sequel.

Speaking from Los Angeles in a phone interview — she's based in London,You can find Ed Hardy Clothing or other edhardyshopmaxblog accessories on any Ed Hardy stores online. but traveled west for the recent Academy Award nominees luncheon — Beavan said that she loves making vintage clothing live again. For the "King's Speech" historical period (primarily the 1930s), much original clothing is available for rental, particularly sturdier items like topcoats and suits and less-worn accessories such as hats. Guy Pearce, for example, wore almost exclusively vintage clothing in the film as King Edward VIII — "they were incredibly moth-eaten, but we mended them." (Pearce, Beavan said, "has a fantastically good '30s shape — he's got quite a waist.")

Other actors wore a mixture of vintage and newly constructed clothing, with each character presenting a challenge. Though Beavan said she was guided by photographs and newsreel footage of the characters, she didn't want to slavishly re-create a look. Some of the jeansblogpteacupcom DC created on the knitting machine. "I wanted the actors to look naturally like the real people ... Sometimes, [wearing] absolutely what they wore doesn't do it. [The actors] look like they're wearing costumes or fancy dress."

For example, Beavan said, in real life Queen Elizabeth (later known as the Queen Mother, and played in the film by Helena Bonham Carter) seemed to favor bright colors, but for the movie her clothing was made more quiet. "We found it much better to darken the colors on her clothes. You believed in her more."

Bonham Carter — who Beavan has been dressing on screen for a quarter-century, since "A Room with a View" — quite literally wears many hats in the film; some vintage, some designed for the film. "She does wear a hat extremely well," noted Beavan, who also said that hats helped enormously with the film's limited costume budget. "We couldn't afford huge amounts of different outfits, but changing the hat changed the look. Every single one we put on her just looked wonderful."

Geoffrey Rush, playing King George VI's speech therapist, Lionel Logue, was given a "working wardrobe" of four suits: two tweed, one plain wool, one pinstripe. This, Beavan said, would be typical for a professional man of that era, explaining that even royalty at the time didn't have vast wardrobes. "This whole thing now of having masses of clothing is completely modern, from the '70s — people started to get lots of clothes and stuffing their wardrobes. In those days, you had a pretty regimented amount. You looked after them,The right workout truereligionjeansfindjesus can vary greatly from person to person. you brushed them or your servant or your wife brushed them, and they lasted for years."

And Colin Firth, as the king, had a specific worry: George VI, known as "Bertie" in his family,One was wearing an ed hardy hoody covered in rhinestone skulls. Investigators began looking for names. was unusually thin. "He wasn't fed properly, he was very small and slight," Beavan said. "Colin is such a slim man, not an ounce of flesh, but he's a better-built male than George. He was terrifically concerned about looking as thin as possible." Reluctantly, Beavan allowed him to not wear a jacket under a topcoat in certain scenes, for a slimmer line, but she'd like to second-guess that decision.Męska, pikowana kurtka z zimowej kolekcji clothingshop.

"I haven't had time to chastise him about that," she said, with a laugh. "I know it's not right around the neck, and it still irritates me, but however! It's important [the actors] feel as right as possible, so they don't have to think about what they're wearing."

Most of the vintage clothing in the film — and in Beavan's other films — comes from Cosprop, a British costume-rental house run by designer John Bright. Beavan, who began her career as a theatrical set designer in the '70s, credits Bright with teaching her much about costume early in her career — "just listening to him and learning from him, learning the history and the politics of clothing."

The two teamed up for 12 films together, sharing six Oscar nominations (for "A Room with a View" — which they won — along with "The Bostonians," "Maurice," "Howards End," "The Remains of the Day" and "Sense and Sensibility"). "We were so lucky to be part of it," she said of the Merchant-Ivory era.

Beavan and her crew are allowed to alter vintage costumes to fit her actors, with Bright's assistance — the items are, as Beavan says, real clothing and not museum pieces, better to be used than "hanging moth-eaten on a hanger!" But she's all too aware of the perils of working with fragile, aging garments. She recalled, from "Gosford Park," a green evening dress worn by Mabel Nesbitt (Claudie Blakley), a character at whom the housemaids scoff for only bringing one evening gown for an extended visit.

"They shot three different evenings over about six weeks. She had to wear this dress every day, and it really truly began to fall to pieces."

The costume crew, Beavan said, was "almost gluing it together on a daily basis — and it just held." She hasn't seen the dress at Cosprop lately, and thinks what remained of it might have been transformed into something else.

While Beavan's clearly delighted to be spending her days immersed in costumes, she cares little for fashion in her real life. For the Oscars, a friend is making her a "very, very simple black trouser suit." She hopes it will look smart but be "completely noneventful."

"I have no interest in my own clothes or in clothes in general," she said. "My love is creating character through clothes."
