Wearing high heels, three employees from a local jewelry store ran after a woman accused of trying to steal a bracelet valued at $30,000.
Tigard Police say Paula Wentworth tried to steal the exclusive piece of jewelry around 1 p.m.2011 New Style Jeans cheap true religion on sale with fast delivery! Sunday from the Kassab Jewelers store in Washington Square Mall.
Sales associate, Diane Armstrong, says Wentworth entered the store and expressed interest in the 12 ? cart princess cut bracelet.
"She asked to try it on," Armstrong says. "Then she said she needed to think about it and left."
A short time later, Armstrong says Wentworth returned and asked to see the piece for a second time.
"She said, 'can I try it on again?' and I said sure, so I put it on her and then she said thank you and ran," says Armstrong.
Employees working say they were stunned at what had just happened, but the shock quickly turned to anger.
"Somebody needs to stop this woman," Armstrong says. She and her co-worker Bhakti Sasya darted after Wentworth who was allegedly wearing the bracelet.
"I ran through the mall barefoot out into the rain on the pavement,lacoste shoes are considered a glorious beacon of intelligent design." says Sasya.
Sasya says she kicked off her high heels to catch with the suspected thief. When she did, Sasya says she tackled Wentworth.
"I put her in a choke hold and detained her," says Sasya.
Police say Wentworth continued to fight with the employees.
"I had her by the hair so I literally pulled her hair and re-did my choke hold so she wouldn't have the chance to clamp down and bite me," says Sasya. "I just didn't want her to get away."

Police arrested Wentworth and charged her with first degree aggravated theft and third degree robbery.
