For the executive producer of "Maury," a daily one-hour nationally syndicated talk show from NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution, being part of the Stamford community means more than just working in it.
"I believe that 'Maury' employees should contribute to the community by giving back to it," said Paul Faulhaber, "which is why we decided to participate in events that donate to organizations within the Stamford community."
On Thursday evening, Faulhaber tied up his running shoes and joined around 80 fellow "Maury"employees for a 5K run/walk to benefit the Stamford Boys & Girls Club. Faulhaber said that this is the first time that "Maury" has organized a 5K run/walk to benefit the Stamford Boys & Girls Club, but he plans on making the run an annual event.
"A lot of employees were very excited for this event," said Faulhaber. "It introduces them to the concept of donating and giving, and that a little bit goes a long way. "I am excited and a little nervous," said Baetiong. "But this is a great organization to raise money for and it's really important for 'Maury' to be active in the community."
Faulhaber said he chose to raise money for the Stamford Boys & Girls Club because he felt it was an organization that helped guide kids within the community in the right direction.
"This is an organization that really helps out the community, starting with the youngest ones in it," said Faulhaber. "It's a great organization, both locally and nationally, and it definitely sets kids in the right direction, which is important."
