The silence in the Dáil after Lowry's speech was the most eloquent moment of the day

Ernest Hemingway was challenged to write a story in six words. "For sale: baby shoes, never used," he replied.Buy Knee High Boots with a price guarantee and top rated customer service.

Brevity worked less well for England football manager Fabio Capello, when he was asked if his English was good enough, following three years at the helm. Capello answered, after his translator repeated the question in Italian.

"I think when I speak with the players they understand everything. It's important when you speak with the players," he said. "If I need to speak about the economy or other things, I can't speak. But when you speak about tactics, you don't use a lot of words. I don't have to speak about a lot of different things. Maximum 100 words."

Politicians used sports metaphors throughout the election campaign to talk about Ireland's future tactics. The 'game' is now on and with Thursday's stress-test findings, the challenge Ireland faces is showing its real, dark shape. Even Hemingway couldn't write it in six.

How much translation does this require? Capello's recommended 100 words are considerably fewer than Michael Lowry spent on Tuesday and Wednesday when he addressed the Dáil about the Moriarty Report.

"In conclusion, I wish to state that the Moriarty Tribunal has not done the State some service," Lowry said on Wednesday, referencing Shakespeare via Charles Haughey.

"I believe that in the fullness of time their contribution will be exposed for what it is; a scandal of truly epic proportions.More information about nike air max 97 shoes including release dates and prices."

Lowry's 40 last words are fewer than half of Capello's maximum professional vocabulary. Or, as one sports writer put it, " ... each of Capello's '100 words' is costing the FA $60,000 a year." That would indeed be a scandal of epic proportions, if you took it literally.

What did Lowry's words cost the State? The silence following his speech was the 31st Dáil's most eloquent moment yet,Love womens Wedge Shoes? So do we. even after Thursday's notional vote of censure. Lowry says he may protest the Moriarty Tribunal's findings to the European Court of Human Rights, which is a curious prospect. A generation could be dead before a verdict comes.

Is it okay to run the Dáil like Capello runs the England soccer team? Agreed, there's no obvious Wayne Rooney in the 31st Dáil, but the lack of words following Lowry's speeches on both days was not from dignified restraint, rather that most TDs didn't turn up for the gig. They just weren't bothered.

The absence of bodies on the benches suggest they haven't understood the mandate for reform they were given. A full house would have highlighted a turning point marked by the conflict between a TD and a state tribunal. It would have shown physical support for the tribunal's work and for what it endured over 14 years.

Life may be too short to listen to Lowry unless you must, but words must be found for him somewhere in the limited vocabulary of Irish politics. He has spent 14 years under the Moriarty Tribunal's shadow and, at least, must be feeling stressed and frustrated.

If Lowry is correct, he has been victimised like a Socrates or an Alfred Dreyfus. He is so provoked and his reputation so damaged that he seems to feel he has little option but to attack the tribunal despite the damage to its reputation and, by association, to the State's integrity.

And if he is a Socrates or Dreyfus, then his best option is to wait for a man of integrity to honour him, as Plato did Socrates and Zola did Dreyfus. No one of that stature has put themselves forward.

Capello is being undermined gradually, as tends to happen for England managers. But he has a point when he says that tactics don't need a large wordcount. Justice does. The first time that I saw Lanvin Shoes was about two years ago.

Lowry found himself insulted by many points in the 2,300-page tribunal report,Find a fashionable range of women boots and ladies shoes all in one place online. which is over half a million words, and he has lost his colleagues' trust and support. Although he was given and accepted the right to defend his name, he believes that the tribunal "took liberties" with his reputation.
