It is end of the year. You want go give gifts. What do you give?
A friend recently asked me for some gift ideas for his wife and their two young children.
I told him that if his children are below the age of 12, he should just get them toys and not try to be too practical by buying them shirts and shoes.
As for the wife, I reminded him that he has to be careful not to buy certain items for her when they are actually for himself. But even that will not stop the price of cotton clothing like t-shirts and Polo Shirts from going up. The latest gadgets and gizmos certainly fall under this category.
Look, honey, I got you this iPad. It's small enough to put in your handbag,Juicy couture wholesale is not just for jumpers anymore, they have amazing jackets in denim and leather, chic boots, bags, tees and skirts! but I am sure you won't mind if I borrow it every now and then, you say.
And she replies, You might as well take it!
Many people do struggle with giving. Do we give because we want to, or we need to? How do we give to people who have practically everything already?
For this week's Monday Starters, I would like to share some examples of how we can give, not only in a particular season, but as part and parcel of our day-to-day life. Now women from Parkhurst, who drive Range Rovers and wear True Religion jeans, watch you walk away feeling smaller than an ant.truereligion jeans
Give your personal touch: A home-made card or self-made gift is not only cheaper but your personal touch will make it truly special.
Give to a worthy cause: Instead of buying something from the store, make a donation to a cause and pass on the receipt to the person you were planning to give to. You can also support such causes by buying their products which are not only better but serve to remind us of their needs.
Give to the workers who are in worthy causes: The people who work at orphanages, homes and other NGOs are sometimes forgotten when we donate to their causes. These workers are not paid that much and do not enjoy benefits like bonuses and other perks that we take for granted. Don't just say how impressed you are with their sacrifice; send them a love gift, which could be cash, a handphone or book vouchers.
Give your blood and pledge your organs: As soon as you are able to, make blood donation a part of your life. And sign the organ pledge form as well.
Give your time: It can be voluntary work, or even simple errands for your elderly friends or neighbours. Believe me, it is a real panacea for work-related stress.
Give your vote: By that, I do not mean that your vote is for sale. But we know that every vote counts, and if you want to have the locus standi to make a difference in the country, make sure you register to vote.It folds up into a disc that fits into a carry-on suitcase, then pops open and has a small inflatable mattress bed that nests inside.
Give your voice: Be an active citizen and speak out for those who cannot speak up for themselves.
Give your forgiveness: A season for giving is also the season for forgiving. Reach out to those who may have hurt you, in the same way you would want them to do likewise.
Giving up: Sometimes,LeatherPaks introduces the new Parinda line of faux Leather handbags. it is much easier to give than to give up. Look at the clutter in your lives, including the habits you want to break. If you learn to give them up, life will become simpler and happier.
Giving and receiving: Although it is more blessed to give than to receive, we must also learn to receive otherwise we will deprive the other person of the joy of giving.
