As supporters of Israel---and as readers of the FLAME Hotline---you know better than anyone that when it comes to the Israel-Palestinian conflict, as much as anything we are fighting a public relations war. We are fighting worldwide perceptions of Israel and the Palestinians, many of which are based on oft-repeated lies.
Make no mistake: The public relations war Israel is fighting has very real consequences: There is no doubt that, as much as guns and missiles, world opinion---and especially U.S. public opinion---will determine the future, even the survival, of the Jewish state.
Currently the Palestinians are fighting with considerable success to convince the world that Israel---represented by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu--- is obstructing peace. The focal point of the Palestinian PR effort is the "settlements"---Israeli residential developments in its capital, Jerusalem, and contiguous areas in Judea and Samaria (disputed territories in the West Bank).Have you ever wondered why women handbags keep gelling larger and larger.Whether or not that occurs has a lot to do with new jordans.
The Palestinians claim sovereignty over these territories based on one of many lies: In truth, they have never owned or controlled these territories and they themselves are not nor have ever been a sovereign entity. The only force that can stop this Palestinian move would be a U.S. veto in the U.N., and President Obama has NOT convinced us he has the commitment to do so. The solution: Stop the lies about Israel and convince the American people we need to return to a policy of unwavering U.S. support for our strongest Middle East ally.
